And it was Eve Gilles, Miss Nord-Pas-de-Calais, who left with the crown at the end of the evening. “Since I was little, I dreamed of participating in Miss France but I didn’t know when to start”confided the 20-year-old young woman, who finally submitted her application for the regional Miss Hersin-Coupigny 2023 competition, the first step in her journey to become Miss France.
From the height of her 70 meter height, Eve Gilles was able to convey the values that the public and the jury expect of a beauty queen, notably standing out by his haircutwhich she kept insisting on throughout the evening. “It’s one of my particularities! I am the first woman to run for Miss France with short hair, so obviously it can catch the eye and get people talking! Society evolves, the competition evolves with it. I’m the first with short hair, but I don’t think I’ll be the last.”, she said before her election. A short cut which she is pleased with, and which gives her, according to some, a little family resemblance with actress Cathy Andrieu.
