The field of participants at this year’s Swiss Indoors will be expanded to include three more prominent faces.
The Swiss Indoors, the ATP 500 tournament worth over two million euros, will take place in Basel from October 21st to 29th. After signing Carlos Alcaraz (ATP 2) and Holger Rune (ATP 6), the Basel organizers have now announced three more prominent arrivals.
For the 16th time in total Stan Wawrinka (ATP 78) at the tournament at the knee of the Rhine. The best-ranked Swiss made it to the semi-finals twice in Basel (2006, 2011), last year he impressed with the first round win against Casper Ruud (ATP 4).
The Norwegian French Open finalist Ruud will also be present at the Swiss Indoors this year. The top-class field of participants will be Felix Auger-Aliassime (ATP 11) added. The Canadian travels to Basel as the defending champion. In 2022 he beat Rune in straight sets in the final.
