You probably don’t know yet Vela Gamesbut the studio intends to make people talk about it with the announcement of its very first game, Evercore Heroes. This team, made up of industry veterans who worked at Riot Games, Blizzard or Electronic Artsnow has 60 people in its Dublin premises and reveals what was hidden behind the mysterious Project Vto know a cooperative multiplayer game playable in PvEwhich will determine which team of heroes is the best in the world.
A multiplayer game that is all about PvE
Evercore Heroes will take place in a world described as science fantasy, named Lumerea. With all the different profiles that are within the studio, one could suspect that the title takes advantage of the influences of each one by mixing MOBA mechanics like League of Legends and MMOs.
We find in fact Travis George at the head of the studio, former senior producer at Riot Games, which states:
” With Evercore Heroes, we’re building a unique multiplayer experience, bringing together cooperative and competitive skill-based gameplay in a whole new way. After more than two years of great feedback from early testing, we’re thrilled to finally be able to share the game with the world. ยป
Heroes like no other
The title sets up clashes in four teams of four players, but only in PvE, with the objective of being the best team by defeating the boss. Each hero will be entitled to his own abilities, which he can improve over the course of the game. We already know some of the heroes, described by Vela Games:
- shade : Shade is a master assassin: she has dedicated her life to her profession. During the fight, Shade twirls around, lacerates his enemies, eliminates his targets, and then escapes as quickly as possible.
- Fyn : Ancient legends tell that there is a hero who is determined and as solid as a pillar defending all those who need it. With her power shield, Fyn charges at opponents, taunting them and shielding her teammates from danger.
- Zari : Zari is the creator of Solar Archery. Having taught her signature combat art to Hydras’ most skilled legions of warriors, Zari combines her abilities to deal massive, ranged damage to single targets and small groups of enemies.
- Beko : The mysterious Beko is secretly an ancient spirit of rejuvenation. He carries in his lantern a spark of the Miraluum, the healing light used to protect his teammates with a variety of continuous healing abilities.
- Blink : Blink loves hitting so much she’s made a career out of it. Besides throwing punches, Blink specializes in crowd control with abilities that can pull in and stun enemies.
- Remy : The Bios Expeditionary Force is accustomed to extreme conditions, but only Remy has the speed, strength, and composure to wield the bleeding edge of Bios medical magitech. The speedy Remy rushes into the heat of battle to save his teammates with health packs and control abilities.
- Lotus : Although she is next in line for the throne, Lotus broke millennia-old traditions by leaving the royal house of Everae to join the other Heroes in their quest to heal the world. The versatile Lotus uses both physical power and magic to keep her team tidy at close range while engaging in combat…
- Cynder : Cynder hides out in Noktra’s legendary underground club, Blue Ember, but isn’t always easy to find. Cynder is on a mission to incapacitate large groups of enemies with high magic damage and AoE attacks.
