“Everything for the guest” – Austria’s largest gastro fair attracts the masses

The largest gastronomy fair in Austria can take place again this year without Corona requirements. The hungry audience didn’t need to be told twice and rushed over.

The exhibition car parks are all full, unfortunately you have to park elsewhere.” This was the sentence the park attendant had to say to many visitors on Saturday. The “Everything for the guest”, Austria’s largest gastronomy trade fair, attracted visitors to Messe Salzburg without restrictions for the first time since the start of the pandemic. Some people needed a calming glass of wine after arrival. Entrepreneur Daniel Bauchinger, on the other hand, prefers something stimulating. “I sometimes drink around ten espressos a day,” admits the coffee lover. “But don’t worry, I don’t consume that much on a daily basis. I can control my addictions very well if I want to.” Nevertheless, the exclusively hand-picked coffee that he sips with pleasure would certainly have potential for addiction. The atmosphere in which consumption takes place must also be harmonious. A few halls further we meet Florian Ortner. He makes furniture and furnishings from reclaimed wood. “Wood brings a certain warmth and coziness to interiors,” explains the interiors expert. Dozens of well-known luxury hotels around the world are now part of Ortner’s customer base. Around 600 exhibitors come together. A total of around 600 different exhibitors are present at the “Everything for the guest” this year. The largest gastronomy fair in Austria will take place in the Salzburg Exhibition Center until next Wednesday.
