(Reuters) – Evguéni Prigojine, founder of the paramilitary group Wagner, accused France on Friday of an attempted assassination of a Russian official injured by a parcel bomb in the Central African Republic.

“Before losing consciousness, Dmitri Siti managed to say: ‘I saw a message: it’s for you from all the French, the Russians will leave Africa'”, said Evguéni Prigojine, reputed to be close of Russian President Vladimir Putin, on Telegram messaging.

“I have already asked the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation to launch a procedure to declare France a State sponsor of terrorism, as well as a thorough investigation into the terrorist methods of France and its Western allies, the States United and others,” he added.
