excellent news for this MCU film, things are finally getting better!

After a series of bad news, this very big film from phase 6 of the MCU is taking its head out of the water a little. A Marvel announcement that will please.

This is not the best time for Marvel which sees its projects fail one after the other and its plans constantly change. And as of this writing, various films in the next phase are being mishandled. Feature films that have lost their director, screenwriter, actors, seeing a little bit of all of that at once. Yes, it’s not reassuring, especially after the latest cinematic flops like The Marvels. But there is finally a glimmer of hope in all this chaos. Until the future turnaround?

Marvel advances the release of Thunderbolts, its Suicide Squad

Marvel may go in all directions, but the overall plans linked to the phases still hold. What may possibly change are the release dates. Except for Deadpool 3 which should be released on July 24, 2024 in France, and July 26 in the United States. There is also something new for Thunderbolts, the “Suicide Squad of the MCU”. And for once, this is not information that will disappoint. Quite the contrary.

After the announcement of the casting of Fantastic 4, Marvel announced that the release of Thunderbolts has been brought forward. The film is no longer scheduled for July 25, 2025 in the US, but for May 2, 2025. Usually, we are more used to chaotic delays, especially lately. This decision obviously has a link with Fantastic 4 since the feature film inherits the old release date of Thunderbolts. Two projects that will have to make a strong impression, since they will be in charge of opening phase 6 of the MCU. Blade, Avengers 5 The Kang Dynasty and Avengers 6 Secret Wars should follow, but given the many concerns for the first two Marvel films, we will avoid making plans on the comet. But it happens, that’s it, right?

This is excellent news in any case, which demonstrates a minimum of confidence in the project and its progress, especially after the recent disappointments. Steven Yeun (Sentry) and Geraldine Viswanathan (role unknown) had to abandon the feature film for scheduling reasons. With the delays taken by Marvel, due to the strike in Hollywood and internal setbacks, the actor and actress clearly had no choice. But what are Thunderbolts? It is, so to speak, the equivalent of DC’s Suicide Squad. A meeting of anti-heroes who will agree to complete various missions, like real friendly superheroes.

Part of the Thunderbolts cast without Harrison Ford.
