Asus unveils two new Asus Zenbook Pro, their most advanced ultrathin laptop.
After the PC Gaming ROG Strix and other ROG Zephyrus, it’s the turn of the Asus Zenbook Pro to take a facelift. As a reminder, this is the Asus Pro range, which is very performance and design oriented.
The best
The first one that interests us is called Asus Zenbook Pro 16X OLED (UX7602BZ). Of course, he gives in excess. With a TDP of 155W, it integrates a 13th generation Intel Core i9-13905H CPU and a GeForce RTX 4000. It is possible to mount up to 32 GB LPDDR5X and up to 2 TB of storage in PCIe 4.0 x 4 SSD. All in a 16.9 mm chassis cooled by a liquid metal compound and a vapor chamber.
The touch screen is not to be outdone and this is undoubtedly its main selling point. It is a 16-inch OLED panel in 16:10 with a 3.2K definition and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The HDR standard is there to complete a technical sheet that is pleasing.
Among the other notable elements, note the presence of an auto-tilting screen, enough to ensure a better angle to hit and cool the system a little better. Let’s add that this keyboard has an intelligent White RGB lighting system. A large touchpad acts as a mouse and incorporates a numeric keypad as well. To complete the owner’s tour, let’s mention the presence of six speakers worked by Harman Kardon, four microphones and a 96 Wh battery. Two Thunderbolt 4 ports (40 Gb / s) and an HDMI 2.1 port provide connectivity.
Portable, yet powerful
Let’s continue with the Asus Zenbook Pro 14 OLED (UX6404). As its name suggests, it relies on a form-factor smaller and goes to 1.65 kg for 1.8 cm thick.
The screen loses a little in definition, but remains very attractive on paper since it is a 14.5 inch panel in 16:10 with a 2.8K definition and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. configuration drops a tiny bit of speed and switches to a 13th generation Intel Core i9-13900H and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050, 32 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage. The battery increases to 70 Wh.
Prices and availability
The Asus Zenbook Pro 16X OLED will be available during the 3rd quarter of 2023 from 4999 euros. The Asus Zenbook Pro 14 OLED will be available from the 2nd quarter at a price of 2999 euros.
