In the columns of the latest issue of Closer on newsstands, find our truthful interview with the singer Bénabar. Here, the artist denies a persistent rumor about his last summer tour…
In the new issue of your Closer magazine, Benabar uncovers the truth about rumors circulating about his performances that took place over the summer : “Concerts are the best remedy for my melancholy. Arousing joy and feeling people vibrate is my artistic raison d’être. I worry about no longer touching the public, no longer making them smile, no longer entertaining them on stage… Sometimes I do bad performances, but if you talk about cancellation, in July, with Wejdene‘lack of participants’, it’s fake news… This summer, we added dates, not refunded tickets!”
After this update, Bénabar also spoke about his relationship with social networks: “It is the reign of lies, the ephemeral and misinformation. Only one collaborator has the access codes for my accounts. I am not at the origin of any post and I am obsessed with clashes… If I have a problem with a guy, I call him, I’m not tweeting to warn the whole world.”
Bénabar always explains how to defend himself when he is attacked unfairly
Speaking of disagreement, Benabar also discuss with us his famous altercation with Yann Moix on the set of Laurent Ruquier: “We have since explained each other. A small pretentious hipster took pleasure in spitting on me. I’m nice, but I have character. Faced with a gratuitous, perverse, twisted attack, I fight back.” An interview with Bénabar to be found in full in your magazine Closer.
