From the crown of beauty queen to that of patroness of the Misses, there is only one step. During the coronation of Indira Ampiot, on December 17, 2022, Cindy Fabre officially took on the role of beauty pageant director. By taking over from Sylvie Tellier, Miss France 2005 could not hide her emotion. “A new adventure! 18 years ago, I met Alexia Laroche-Joubert during my election. I am delighted to find her and join the Miss France teams who work throughout the year for this magnificent program.”she reacted on her Instagram account, shortly after her nomination in August 2022. As she prepares to experience the election of Miss France 2024, this Saturday, December 16 live from the Zénith de Dijon, Cyndi Fabre agreed to look back on her crazy year with Gala.fr. By taking on this new role, Elio’s mother was keen to perpetuate the legacy of Geneviève de Fontenay, figure in the famous national beauty contest, who died on August 1. “The transmission of values was very important to me, as guardian of the temple. Since the death of Geneviève de Fontenay, I want to make young women aware that this competition is the oldest existing competition in the world. It is part of our heritage and is so dear to the French.”she confided.
In addition to being the Miss standard bearer, Cindy Fabre wanted to “highlight our territory, our terroir, all our regions.” “We must be aware of how lucky we are to be able to meet people who are proud to help us discover their passion, their region and their profession.”, she assured. Unforgettable exchanges that the Norman woman was able to share with Indira Ampiot. At each of the trips and performances, Cindy Fabre ensured “support as best as possible” the 19 year old young woman. “It is often said that only a Miss France can understand another Miss France. It really is. We go through all types of emotions.”, she revealed during the interview. And to add with a certain pride: “I wanted to support the Miss as best as I could, with my experience offormer Miss France, former delegate and business manager. It was magical to be able to transform a woman’s life.” Looking back, Cindy Fabre draws a positive assessment of all these experiences. “It was truly a rewarding year for meboth with Miss France and with all these meetings.”, she concluded. And 2024 will certainly be ripe for new memories.

During these twelve months, Cindy Fabre and Indira Ampiot formed an exceptional duo and established a wonderful bond. During this interview, the director of the beauty contest was keen to congratulate the sparkling Guadeloupean for her year of reign. “Indira is an almost perfect Miss France. She doesn’t complain, she smiles all the time, she enjoys every moment, she’s never tired or makes it feel like it. She has a real zest for life.”, she confided with tenderness. And to continue: “His youth was never a subject. I saw her evolve. They’re like our children, even if the age difference is tiny. It’s always impressive to seeing little chicks grow into beautiful, accomplished young women.” A bond that Cindy Fabre hopes to renew with Miss France 2024.
