Their complicity is now only ancient history… On April 29, 2019, Paul El Kharrat participated for the first time in the 12 noon shots, on TF1. Having become the second greatest midday master, the candidate had stayed 153 days on the show and left with 691,522 euros in earnings. Over the weeks, the young man had impressed viewers with his knowledge, especially in history, geography, literature, but also in politics. Since his elimination, it is with Laurent Ruquier, in Les Grosses Têtes, on RTL, that he flourishes. In an interview with Télé Star, on newsstands Monday, October 24, 2022, it was when he was asked about his friendships in the world of television that Paul El Kharrat replied: “At the moment, I can’t be friends with people. I am friends with one person, me.“
Asked about a possible friendship with the host who revealed it to the general public, the ex-candidate of the famous TF1 game replied: “Why would I be friends with Jean-Luc Reichmann? We haven’t spoken to each other for nearly a year for all sorts of reasons that I won’t reveal. I have no direct or privileged contact with this man.” Closer to Laurent Ruquier, Paul El Kharrat said: “I am at Les Grosses Têtes regularly and I have also taken part in the holidays organized with the members. All this allowed me to have with Laurent Ruquier connections that I never had with Jean-Luc Reichmann, with whom we never left the teacher-student relationship.“
Paul El Kharrat: “A kind of societal hypocrisy”
Cash, who is also a writer, said: “It was a pathetic pseudo-family, a semblance of good relations between individuals. A kind of societal hypocrisy.“Consequently, Paul El Kharrat will no longer appear in the 12 noon shots specials.”We are not on the trail of redemption, indeed. I don’t want to take another step towards an individual who has annoyed me for reasons that I prefer to keep quiet. I don’t want to be attached to anyone anymore. I belong to no one“, he added to conclude.
