EXCLUDED. Samy Naceri (Threat to Kermadec): “I tried to put my little thug touch in my character”

This February 4 at 9:05 p.m. on France 2, Samy Naceri is making his big comeback on the small screen in Menace sur Kermadec, a police television film by Bruno Garcia. There he finds one of his former play partners, the actress Claire Keim…

Télé Star: You hadn’t acted in a TV movie for many years. Why did you choose Threat to Kermadec ?

Samy Naceri : It was an opportunity to seize to work with the France 2 team. In addition, I already knew Bruno Garcia, we had met a very long time ago on the film by Merzak Alouache, Pet. We found ourselves on this film by chance, he proposed my candidacy to our producer, who forwarded it to France 2 and they accepted. It was great, because I had never worked with them.

Tell us more about Threat to Kermadec and your character, Savior…

Threat to Kermadec, it’s a thriller as we like them, a good little crime drama made with passion, taste and professionalism. For my part, I play a thug, the kind of character that I enjoy playing. I tried to put my little thug touch in the character, like in the films I’ve done before. And since Bruno was quite open to the proposals, it went very well.

You found your former partner, Claire Keim…

Claire is the kind of actress you can’t help but love. She has not changed, she has evolved in her profession, climbed the ladder, and she is still as simple as ever. She’s funny, she’s beautiful, pleasant… It looks like I’m brushing her off, but it’s the truth. (laughs) She’s a very simple girl, good actress, what more could you ask for?

In a recent interview with Entertainment TVClaire Keim said about you: “Despite two or three gray hairs, he had the same fire, the same passion. It’s incredible“Do you also have this feeling? Is your passion for comedy still strong?

More than ever. I matured, my passion multiplied because I learned new techniques, discovered new things and new people… It is even more present, ten times more present, even. Every day is on fire. When I am told “Action”, I am no longer there.

What do you remember of this experience?

The kindness and professionalism of the whole team. Excuse me for the term, but it was a “fucking” team! It’s a treat to work with Bruno Garcia, and the whole cast was good, as well as the technical team. In addition, I enjoyed working in Brittany. The weather was fine, it was the end of summer so there were very beautiful sunsets, I went for a run on the beach every morning, it was a treat! Every day was fireworks.

What are your other future projects?

On January 29, we start shooting my brother Larbi Naceri’s first film, Six o’clock, with Nadia Farès, Samuel Le Bihan, Moussa Maaskri, my son Julian, Larbi’s daughter. It is a film directed by him. I also have a movie in the works called The night of fate with a director called Mourad Boucif. It is a period film which tells that during the 1939-1945 war, the mosque of Paris hid Jews, resistance fighters, English paratroopers, gave them false papers and made them pass into the free zone. We should shoot in the spring and I have one of the main roles. Besides, I made a film last year called Atoman, it’s the first North African superhero film.

You turned 60 last year. What do you want today?

As an artist, I want to go to the end of The Mental 2. The first film marked all the young people of Paris, even of France, and the sequel is very close to my heart. As a man, I want to use my notoriety for causes, for people in need. I haven’t found all the good leads yet, but I would like to get involved in this kind of thing. Maybe it’s age that does that, that after everything I’ve been through, I feel like I have to give back a little.
