This Wednesday, February 9, France will broadcast “What’s wrong with my family?”, the eponymous television adaptation of Marc-Olivier Fogiel’s book. A TV movie in which we will find Sofia Essaïdi in the role of a woman who wishes to use surrogacy to have a child. In an exclusive interview granted in our columns this Monday, January 31, the actress took the opportunity to indicate that she herself wanted to become a mother.
It’s a big night on the surrogacy that France 2 is preparing to devote. On Wednesday February 9, the channel will offer a TV movie on this subject, followed by a debate presented by Julian Bugier in the second part of the evening. From 9:10 p.m., France 2 will broadcast the TV movie “What’s wrong with my family?”adapted from the book of the same name by Marc-Olivier Fogiel. A fiction in which we will find Sofia Essaidi and Malik Zidi to play a couple in their thirties who want to use surrogacy to try to have a child.
Before the broadcast of this film, the actress agreed to confide in our columns, in an interview to be found this Monday, January 31. Sofia Essaïdi thus explained the importance of this television adaptation of Marc-Olivier Fogiel’s book. “It highlights the difficulty of being a parent because I think you are not born a parent, you become one”she began, before adding that this story had also had a particular resonance for her, who also wants to become a mother: “For me who want to have children, It’s a question I’ve been asking myself for a long time. This film came to confirm the idea that the story between a parent and a child is first and foremost a love story and not that of a blood relationship. Thanks to this movie now, I’m sure.”
Sofia Essaïdi: “I hope this project will come to life very soon”
A child that Sofia Essaïdi hopes to have with her companion, the dancer Adrian Gallo. In a relationship for more than ten years, the two lovers, however, remain very discreet when it comes to discussing their private lives. But they have been thinking about expanding their family for several years now. “I’m thinking about it a lot at the moment and I hope this project will come to life very soon”revealed the singer and actress at the start of 2021. A desire for motherhood that she had already confided in our columns in 2019: “It’s a big, big discussion! Because there’s nothing more beautiful in life, right?”
