The candidate of the Ecologist Pole Yannick Jadot confided exclusively to Closer concerning the difficulties that his public role may have caused those around him. He also explained why he is not installed with Isabelle Saporta, his companion since 2017.
The first round of the presidential election is approaching and we will know, on April 10, which two candidates will be running in the second round. On the occasion, the journalists of Closer interviewed one of the candidates of the election, the one who represents the ecological: Yannick Jadot. Winner of the primary against Sandra RousseauYannick Jadot has a long political career behind him which has had difficult consequences on the lives of loved ones, and in particular his companion, the journalist Isabelle Saporta. The latter had to resign from her post at RTL in 2019, after the couple formalized their relationship. The candidate finds this all the more unfair as his companion has always fought for her independence.
It is also his independence in particular that seduced him since he explains to Closer that the couple does not live together, and that suits them perfectly. “We each have busy lives and Isabelle largely assumes her daughters. We try to see each other as much as possible without it becoming an obligation. I am sociable, social, but sometimes I need to be alone with myself. This is my bear side” he explains. A side that does not seem to bother his companion, with whom the presidential candidate seems to have a rather balanced relationship. “She tells me frankly what she thinks of what I do and, sometimes, the debates are heated! She is capable of being very tough and very cash. Frankness is at the heart of our relationship and it is our strength“says Yannick Jadot.
Yannick Jadot regrets the forced sacrifices of Isabelle Saporta
A force that also serves as a support during his campaign, even if, for that, Isabelle Saporta had to pay a high price. Yannick Jadot is in any case well aware of the sacrifices that the journalist had to make to continue her relationship with him. His remarks concerning his companion reported by Closer also testify to the great respect he has for her, both in the private and public spheres. “For someone who has always fought for his independence, who has built himself alone, without any piston, it is difficult to be permanently sent back to his companion and to suffer the consequences”. The candidate also specifies that, if the roles had been reversed, he “would like to believe“that he would have accepted it as well as she did,”but I can’t guarantee it” concludes-he.
