Exclusive and expensive – LXP Oriolo: KTM brand MV Agusta brings travel enduro

The motorcycle manufacturer MV Agusta – which is currently being taken over by KTM – took more time than originally planned for the series version of the Luck Explorer 9.5. Now she’s here. With a new name and strictly limited.

In 2021, MV Augusta presented the Lucky Explorer 9.5, a robust travel enduro for adventure seekers. It was actually supposed to launch on the market in 2023. But only now has the final series version with the model name LXP Orioli celebrated its premiere at the EICMA motorcycle trade fair (until November 12th). Orioli stands for a special model limited to 500 units. The heart is a three-cylinder with a displacement of 931 cubic centimeters that delivers 124 hp and 102 Newton meters. The travel enduro, which weighs 224 kilograms, should sprint to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds, with a maximum speed of 230 km/h possible. MV Agusta states the consumption as 5.6 liters, which, given the 20-liter tank, enables ranges of over 300 kilometers. The LXP’s equipment offers LED lights all around and a large, colorful 7-inch dashboard with connectivity functions. The Italian also offers spoked wheels, aluminum cases, Brembo stoppers with radially mounted monoblock brake calipers as well as plenty of adjustment options for the chassis and seat. There is also an extensive arsenal of control systems and assistants with cornering ABS, cruise control, launch control and an 8-stage adjustable Traction control. The first LXP Orioli will go into customer hands at the beginning of 2024. The price should be well into the 30,000s.
