This Sunday, July 3 from 11:15 p.m., M6 will broadcast a moving report shot in Ukraine, “at the heart of one of the worst tragedies in modern history”. For weeks, the teams of the program presented by Bernard de la Villardière followed Ukrainian investigators in search of evidence and testimony of the twelve thousand alleged Russian war crimes.

Viewers will notably discover the work of “prosecutors” who criss-cross Ukraine to try to investigate murders or disturbing disappearances such as that of the son of a crying woman, found shot dead and buried in the courtyard of his apartment building. A resident of a small village also tells M6 that she survived an ambush by the Russian army during which several of her neighbors died.

A tragic and shocking investigation

“They started shooting at everyone, she remembers. (…) They shot my son, he died instantly.” French gendarmes were also called to Ukraine to support the local teams in order to shed light on the crimes taking place there, identify the victims of the conflict and dialogue with the populations, as a resident of Boutcha, witness to the massacre in her town.
