They die when they’re dead! “Expendables 4” brings action stars like Jason Statham, Sylvester Stallone, Dolph Lundgren and Tony Jaa back to the big screen. Now there is a first trailer!
- The cast of the 4th “Expendables” movie might not be quite as impressive as in the previous ones, but good action can easily make up for the lack of star power.
- The first trailer for the new action highlight already promises an amusing men’s evening in September 2023.
With “The Expendables” in 2010, Sylvester Stallone brought numerous action stars together in one film. The result could not keep up with the highlights from the filmographies of Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Willis and Co., but the brutal spectacle was still fun.
Two sequels were to follow, but the Expendables have been quiet since 2014. After a 9-year break, however, things are finally moving on and “Expend4bles”, the original English title of the new film, may be the beginning of a new trilogy. You can watch the first trailer for the film here:
Despite the consistently large cast, Stallone and Jason Statham have been the main focus of the storyline, but now Stallone is handing over the Expendables leadership to Statham. In this way, the series could go on for many years to come, even if hardly anyone is left of the original cast.
“Expendables 4” is scheduled to start in German cinemas on September 21, 2023 and fans naturally hope that after the relatively quiet third part in the new film things will get back to business properly. The scenes shown in the trailer are definitely going in a promising direction!
