F1 22: Update 1.12 available, featuring Häkkinen and the 2022 Formula 2 season

It has now been three months since F1 22 is available on consoles and PC. The series of Formula 1 racing games from Codemasters was recently acquired by Electronic Arts and it must be said that we already feel this turning point for the license with the arrival of regular updates. Since its launch, the title has already been entitled to many new features, in particular the Portimao and Shanghai tracks, two circuits yet absent from the 2022 calendar. Today, the title is being updated with 1.12, of which here are the new features .

What’s new with F1 22 1.12?

Several new features are expected with this patch 1.12, especially the addition of the 2022 Formula 2 season. Until now, we could only find the pilots of the past year. From now on, we can embark on a slightly more current season, which notably crowned Felipe Drugovich world champion at MP Motorsport. It is thus possible to (re)live the F2 season through its 14 rounds as well as its F2 Sprint races.

The next addition concerns the My Stable mode: Mika Häkkinen will be added as an icon from October 17, 2022. It will thus be possible to race with the Finnish driver, double world champion at the end of the 90s. Finally, we can note that a new livery for McLaren, the Future Mode, is available for a limited time, accompanying the launch of Series 3 of the Podium Pass.

Here are the changes expected with the 1.12 update:

  • Added F2 2022 season
  • Added McLaren Future Mode livery for a limited time
  • Fixed the crash issue that occurred before reaching the main menu when playing on Steam Deck
  • Parc Fermé rules do not apply to racing after taking part in a qualifying session
  • Fixed an issue with ERS in Qualifiers
  • Fixed an issue under the Safety Car in Immersive Mode, where the player was allowed to overtake after briefly overtaking another driver “illegally”
  • Fixed a display issue related to the Thrustmaster T248
  • Fixed issue with Heusinkveld pedals
  • General stability improvements
  • Other fixes applied

The full patchnote is available (in English for now) on the official website. F1 22 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series. To learn more about this latest iteration of the franchise, we invite you to discover our complete test.
