Stéphane Sitbon Gomez, the boss of France Télévisions programs, returned to the failure of singer La Zarra during the last edition of Eurovision. In an interview with “Télé-Loisirs”, he regretted “the attitude that La Zarra had after spending several months supporting and promoting it”.

In an interview with Tele-Leisure, the program director of France Télévisions, Stéphane Sitbon Gomez, returned to the failure of the singer La Zarra during the last edition of Eurovision. While last January, during his presentation to journalists, the leaders of the group were full of praise for the artist, who was presented as the one who would finally break the curse of Eurovision, finally the results of the contest disappointed a lot internally.

“We are disappointed by the attitude of La Zarra”

La Zarra finished in 16th place, not to mention the controversy around the middle finger that the singer sent to the camera, in full live. Something to make Stéphane Sitbon-Gomez react. “We are disappointed by the attitude of La Zarra after having spent several months supporting and promoting it”, explained the program director of France Télévisions. Before concluding: “Eurovision is not an exact science, but we did not expect to be so low in the results”.

France has not won Eurovision since 1977, when Marie Myriam won the competition with her song “L’Oiseau et l’enfant”.
