The enthusiasm around GTA 6 is unprecedented… and inevitably, some already see it as an opportunity to deploy malware and other viruses.

What if we offered you the opportunity to play GTA 6 today, without further delay, on your PC? The operation is simple, just launch a small .exe file which will install the new GTA from Rockstar Games on your computer, and the joys of Vice City are yours. However, it is a fake, with a high chance of installing… a virus.

GTA 6, and now the malware

It is one of the most anticipated games of recent years, GTA 6 was revealed very recently through a first trailer already viewed more than 100 million times. A phenomenal success for the game from Rockstar Games, which is not scheduled for release before 2025, however.

In the meantime, there is no doubt that the enthusiasm around GTA 6 should once again boost sales of the previous opus, launched in 2013, credited with more than 190 million sales. The game’s recent trailer also caused streaming streaming of the title to explode Love is a Long Roadby Tom Petty, but it is also prime bait for hackers.

Do not install any GTA 6 for PC

Indeed, crooks are already hoping to trap the most impatient (and gullible) players by distributing fake executable files, which reproduce the installation of the new GTA 6 on your PC, while in reality discreetly injecting a series of malicious software into the system.

Remember that for the moment, GTA 6 is only planned for the PS5 and Xbox Series consoles, somewhere in 2025. The PC version should follow a few months later, and it is not impossible to have to wait 2026 to play (legitimately) GTA 6 on PC.

In other words, if you come across an installation file for the new GTA 6 by chance, or if a site offers you to pay a sum (even a pittance) to play a preview of the new GTA on your PC, do not make no mistake, it’s a trap.
