A few hours earlier, during an outing accompanied by the “pool” of media accredited to follow him, the American president fell from his bicycle. More fear than harm for the septuagenarian, who got up quickly, surrounded by Secret Service agents. The White House assured, in a statement released this weekend, that he was fine: “As the president explained, his foot got caught in the pedal as he got off his bike and he will good. No medical help is needed. The president looks forward to spending the rest of the day with his family.”

After his slight fall, Joe Biden took the opportunity to chat with passers-by. Asked by a child about the particularity of his job as president, the 79-year-old Democrat replied: “It’s like all jobs. Some moments are easy and others are hard,” reports CNN.
The US President was with his wife Jill Biden this weekend, the day after their 45th wedding anniversary on June 17, 1977. It was to mark this event and Father’s Day that the Bidens spent the weekend in their second home in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, where their daughter Ashley Biden was also, their son Hunter, accompanied by his wife Melissa and their little Beau and the three daughters born from his marriage to Kathleen Buhle – including the eldest Naomi, who came with her fiancé Peter Neal, whom she will marry this fall at the White House. Natalie and Robert II, the children of their late son Beau, completed the clan for a souvenir photo shared by Jill Biden:
