Fall on descent – Schwaz mountain rescue rescued injured ski tourer

A local ski tourer was seriously injured on Friday when he fell on the Metzen descent in Weerberg/Innerberg.

The 44-year-old went on a ski tour to the 2,350-meter peak in the Tux Alps with a companion. The ski tourer fell on the final descent down a forest path. He suffered serious injuries to both knees and shoulders. The Schwaz mountain rescue team rescued the casualty using an Akia and a quad and took the man to the hospital in Schwaz.
