Fallout 5: why is it taking so long to develop?

Series live action fallout ofAmazon Prime handed over the franchise Bethesda (but designed by Black Isle Studios originally) at the forefront, spectators who devoured the eight episodes rushed to already existing games like Fallout 4, Fallout: New Vegas, Fallout Shelter and even Fallout 76but everyone is obviously waiting for a new, unpublished opus.

Fallout 5 has already been confirmed by Todd Howarddirector and executive producer of Bethesda Game Studiosbut the title will only arrive after The Elder Scrolls VI, which has no release date. Of course, players wonder why development is taking so longTHE studio design director Emil Pagliarulo answered this question on X (ex-Twitter):

It’s a good question. A complicated question. This is not specific to any of our games, but development times may vary for various reasons. On Starfield, we spent a lot of time updating and developing technology. We also took a break to help out on Fallout 76.

Ultimately, however, it always comes down to the most important resource of all: people. Like any development team, we have talented people who need time to create good things. So we can’t do everything at once. Institute scientists are working hard on cloning initiatives!

The answer is simple: to make a game, you need developers, Bethesda Game Studios does not have unlimited resourcesmost teams are already busy on The Elder Scrolls VIthe extension Shattered Space of Starfield and no doubt other titles, Fallout 5 is clearly not the studio’s priority at the moment.

To wait, you can always find Fallout 4: Game of the Year Edition from €14.99 on Amazon, Cdiscount, Fnac, GOG.com And Gamesplanetthe update next-gen for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S will arrive in a few days.
