Fallout 76: close date and details of the new features of the Mutant Invasion update and its Season 12

Unlike last year, Fallout 76 did not reveal its roadmap for 2023. Despite everything, two good months after the launch of the Nuka World Tourhe is about to welcome a new major update called Mutant Invasionas well as Season 12: Rip Hardi and the Cryptid Huntwith its set of cosmetic items to unlock.

It will be officially introduced on February 28 at 3:00 p.m. and will notably offer one public event per hour until March 21each time with the possibility of winning a pack mutant with bonuses. It will also mark the arrival in the Daily Operations extraterrestrial enemies, new places like the Capitolthe seat of Garrahan Mining and high school morgantownand the mutation reflective skin which reflects a portion of the damage inflicted. MUTANT INVASION UPDATE HIGHLIGHTS

Watch out, conscript Dodge! Mutations from daily operations are spreading through Appalachia! Get ready, starting Tuesday, February 28, we’re bringing you a new rotating weekly event that incorporates changes from daily operations to public events. The Mutant Invasion will increase the difficulty of Public Events or inspire you to adopt new playstyles, but not without its rewards.

  • From February 28 to March 21, every hour on the hour, a mutant public event will take place.
  • Completing Mutant Public Events will reward you with a Mutant Pack.
    • Mutant packs contain medicine, resources, ammo, a 3* legendary item, and chances to get rare blueprints!

  • For players looking for even more rewards, completing Mutant Public Events with at least 3 Fallout 1st members present will earn Mutant Party Packs. These are similar to the Mutants packs, but contain additional rewards.
  • After the first three weeks of Mutant Public Events, Mutant Public Events will be available every hour, on the hour, for one week.

News from daily operations!

In addition to Mutant Public Events, we’ve added new locations, a new enemy type, and a new Mutation to the Daily Ops rotations.

  • New group of enemies: Put on your tinfoil hats! Aliens are coming.
  • New Locations: Explore the Capitol, Garrahan Mining Headquarters, and Morgantown High School.
  • New Mutation, Reflective Skin: Enemies periodically enter a reflective state that reflects a portion of damage dealt to them.

Fallout 76 servers will go offline on all platforms at 3:00 p.m. PT on February 28 to apply our Mutant Invasion update.

SEASON 12: RIP HARDI AND THE CRYPTIDE HUNT

In the world of cryptid big game hunting, only one man is brave enough, strong enough, and smart enough to face these mysterious creatures! In this Season, we follow the daring and dangerous adventures of Rip Hardi, the fantastic cryptid hunter, accompanied by his loyal Mister Handy Percival and his faithful nurse, Guinevere.

New Rewards

  • Cryptid Rewards: From floor decorations to power armor paints, this season offers all kinds of cryptid-inspired items sure to satisfy any budding cryptozoologist.
  • New Ally: Welcome Brother Steven to your CAMP and pray for Mothman’s blessings.
  • New CAMP Items: Build a hunting lodge worthy of Rip Hardi himself with the Hunter’s Throne or display your favorite tankards with the Stuffed Bear Tankard Display.

Presentation: the revival

This Season, we’re bringing you a new feature of our Seasons: Challenge Rerolls!

  • Once a day, re-roll a daily or weekly challenge for free.
  • Challenge re-rolls can also be obtained for free from the Season Board or purchased from the Atomic Shop.
  • You can use as many rerolls per day as you want.
  • Rerolled Challenges will have a chance to become Epic Challenges, which offer better rewards when completed.
