The journalist testifies in “Mediapart” alongside other women against the star host of BFMTV, dismissed from the news channel since the revelation of the legal proceedings against him.
Behind the complaint against Jean-Jacques Bourdin for “attempted sexual assault”, journalist Fanny Agostini, who chose to testify openly on Monday in Mediapart. The former RMC-BFMTV weather presenter, then went through Thalassa, gives her version of the facts which date back to 2013, when she participated in the Calvi Petanque Open, in Corsica, where Jean-Jacques Bourdin is also invited.
She says that one morning, while swimming in the swimming pool of her hotel, Jean-Jacques Bourdin would have approached “very quickly”, would have “grabbed by the neck, on the side” and “suddenly drawn to him” trying to kiss her “Many times”. “Surprising”, she describes that she has no “not shouted”. Fanny Agostini claims to have “debated”, and managed to get out of the water.
Jean-Jacques Bourdin, can we read in Mediapart, then said to him: “I always get what I want.” A sentence that “punctuated” the “nightmares” of the journalist “for years”. Fanny Agostini says she felt it “as a threat from someone who had a hierarchical ascendancy”.
Subsequently, between September 2014 and the spring of 2015, the facilitator would have sent him, in the midst of professional exchanges, many messages with a sexual connotation. Like this message dated November 27, 2014, that Mediapart said to have obtained, received on his professional mailbox: “You tempt me every morning… I love your look.”
“It was no longer professional at all”
The investigative media also collected other testimonies targeting Jean-Jacques Bourdin, some identified, others anonymous. Thus Sidonie Bonnec, presenter on France 2 and France Bleu, tells how, then a young journalist wishing to do radio, she was invited to a festival in Calvi by Jean-Jacques Bourdin in 2010.
The facilitator, according to the words of the young woman, assures her that she will be staying at the hotel. But before leaving, he would have called him to tell him that the hotel was full and that, “luck”, he “has a villa with a friend”. He would have added: “There is a swimming pool, don’t forget your bathing suit.” “This sentence cut my legs, she says to Mediapart. It wasn’t professional at all.”
Arrived at the airport with her companion, she says she saw Jean-Jacques Bourdin who would have been content to send them a greeting “from afar”. “After that, I never heard from anyone again. Of course, I never got the job. she points out.
Jean-Jacques Bourdin for his part did not respond to Mediapart, who says he asked for it on all the testimonies. The host, who was temporarily removed from the air on BFMTV and RMC, denies the facts of which Fanny Agostini accuses him. An investigation was entrusted by the Paris prosecutor’s office to the 16th arrondissement police station and another, internally, was opened by Altice, parent company of BFMTV and RMC.
