Warner Bros. has released a teaser for Fantastic Beasts 3. Mads Mikkelsen can be seen for the first time as Grindelwald.
Mads Mikkelsen (56) replaces Johnny Depp (58) in the role of the magician Grindelwald in the third part of “Fantastic Beasts”. Now became a first teaser to “Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore” (in German: “Fantastic Beasts: Dumbledore’s Secrets”) published, in which Mikkelsen can be seen for the first time as Depp’s successor. Depp had to retire from the role after regularly making headlines in court with her divorce from Amber Heard, 35.
At the beginning, the teaser takes the fans into the “Wizarding World” and shows excerpts from the previous “Fantastic Beasts” films and the “Harry Potter” series. In between, fans and followers of the magical world can be seen. At the end of the clip the prospect “of new adventures that can already be seen on the horizon” awaits. In addition to the newcomer Mikkelsen, who is shown in a black suit in a crowd, there are first pictures of stars such as Jude Law (48), Eddie Redmayne (39) or Dan Fogler (45) who are returning to the series.
Law as a young Dumbledore turns to Theseus Scamander (Callum Turner, 31) in the teaser and explains mysteriously: “The world as we know it is dissolving. What seems unimaginable today will become inevitable tomorrow. Should you do what I ask of you, you have to trust me. Even if every instinct opposes it. ” You can also see some recordings of the Hogwarts Magic School. According to the film’s title, the plot is likely to revolve around the complicated family history of the famous Hogwarts headmaster.
Then the new “Fantastic Beasts” strip will celebrate its premiere
Next Monday (December 13th) Warner will release the first official trailer. As reported by the US site “Deadline”, the cinema release in the US was set for April 15, 2022. In Germany and Great Britain, the film is due to open in cinemas on April 7th and 8th, respectively. Previously, July 15th was given as the release date.
A real highlight awaits fans of “Harry Potter” at the beginning of the new year. On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the first film, you can look forward to two specials with your film favorites. Leading actors Rupert Grint (33), Emma Watson (31) and Daniel Radcliffe (32) celebrate on January 1st with the two specials “Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts” and “Harry Potter: Hogwarts Tournament of Houses” from HBO Max a reunion.
