Oh la la
French women love this jeans trend in spring – and so do we!
The French women show us how we do it. When it comes to trends, our neighbors often have a nose for the future – this is also the case with this mega-trend for spring.
There is no time of the year or day when jeans are not trendy. No mood or occasion where jeans are not the perfect choice. In short: Jeans are real fashion miracle weapons and are therefore quite rightly present several times in every wardrobe. The selection is almost endless, but in 2021 it will be easier for us to reach for the ultimate jeans than usual, because a cut is currently more trendy than ever – and we owe that above all to the French women.
And how could it be otherwise? Hardly any other nation has such a natural sense of style and implements trends so nonchalantly, as if they had always been there. The perfect macaron recipe, the right kissing technique and elegant sipping on the champagne flute are therefore not the only things we can learn from the French girls. The right styling of our new favorite trousers is another thing that the French women have ahead of us. Still! With that in mind: raise the curtain on your cropped jeans!
Cropped jeans: the new favorite piece of French women
Fashionistas like Jeanne Damas or Jeanne Andreaa have long been fans of the new style of trousers and are currently wearing them up and down the streets of Paris. The special thing about the cropped jeans: The trouser leg is shortened – similar to a culottes. The French women also rely on a close-fitting cut that ends in a slight flap. But the wide version also makes the fashion radar 2021 swing upwards.
In addition to the style factor, the new jeans model has other advantages: the legs look longer and pretty shoes like strappy heels or thong heels finally get the attention they deserve.
This is how you style cropped jeans
Luckily, styling the cropped jeans is very easy. Inspired by the French fashionistas, we combine casual basic shirts, cashmere cardigans and blouses with XXL Peter Pan collars (very important: tuck tops in your trousers!). Filigree jewelry and subtle accessories complete the look without stealing the show from the it-piece.
If you want to go a step further when it comes to style, you don’t just go for cropped jeans made of denim, but also for a corduroy model. The cut in combination with the robust material looks casual and is therefore quite rightly a stylish alternative to the Frenchies.
