An 87-year-old pensioner drove his car on the B1 into the opposite lane and collided with the cars of a 20-year-old and a 17-year-old. Unfortunately, the elderly driver did not survive his serious injuries. His accident opponents, however, suffered only minor injuries.
An 87-year-old from Neukirchen/Vöckla died in a traffic accident in his home district of Vöcklabruck. The pensioner was on the B1 from Lambach in the direction of Schwanenstadt when he left his lane for an unknown reason and collided with the car of a 20-year-old driver from Lambach. As a result, he hit the car of a 17-year-old from Vöcklabruck, who crashed into the guardrail. Rescue is no longer possible. The pensioner’s car stopped in the oncoming lane. While the teenager was slightly injured and the 20-year-old and her friend who was driving with her were unharmed, the 87-year-old was taken to hospital with serious injuries. The pensioner succumbed to his injuries in hospital just a few hours later.
