The people of Eastern Switzerland are celebrating an emotional festival of a special kind in their sold-out stadium. They live the regional unity, once again announce their ambitions and want to make people forget the unsuccessful cup final. But they lose a player with a double broken leg in a 2-1 win over YB.
The football arena in St. Gallen filled with over 19,000 people, lots of shouting, even more excitement, emotional border shifting. A faltering leader YB, decimated by one and later by two players, and a fury called FC St. Gallen, who narrowly won 2-1 and hoisted themselves to the position of leader.
