Few customers – retail is not yet entirely happy with frequency


The picture that emerged in the outlet center in Parndorf on the first day of opening did not meet expectations. Empty parking spaces, few customers. In between things went up a bit until you got back to the pre-corona level, but it should still take some time. “The tourists, the Viennese and the Slovakian customers are missing,” says a salesman. He does not believe that the mask requirement, which also applies outdoors in Parndorf, is an obstacle. The influx of customers in the Oberwart shopping center was also limited. Here, too, a mask must be worn outdoors. That certainly scares some off, says a passer-by.
