Few violations – police checks continue after the lockdown has ended

As with the previous lockdowns, the fourth went relatively calmly. According to the state police directorate, there were no major violations of the Covid measures.

“The Burgenlanders have so far adhered to the federal measures,” reports police spokesman Helmut Marban. In the past week alone, more than 4,000 controls were carried out, which resulted in only 21 reports or organ mandates. The controls took place in the course of normal business operations. In other words, in the case of official acts, such as a traffic control, compliance with the measures was also checked. The police relied primarily on the conversation, reports were only the last resort. No lockdown end for unvaccinated people Even if everything is unlocked again, the controls will of course continue. Because the lockdown only ends for those who have been vaccinated and those who have recovered. For the police, the situation is again similar to a few weeks ago, when there was already a lockdown for unvaccinated people. The controls will continue to be carried out in the course of normal operations. Whereby Marban decidedly does not rule out that there may also be focus campaigns, for example in pubs or shops.
