Fiat is attacking the small electric vehicle market and offering a car that brings one of its legendary brands back to life.

The Citroën Ami, with its very small two-seater format, does not leave anyone indifferent, positive or negative. We bet that its new competitor Fiat Topolino (2023) should receive a fairly similar welcome in the coming months!

Small size is life

When you think of electric vehicles, a brand like Tesla almost always comes to mind first. But if the firm of Elon Musk is indeed the world leader in the sector, almost all the historical manufacturers have now embarked on the adventure, to offer us interesting models.

Thus, Fiat today brings into the world its new Fiat Topolino (2023), made like the Citroën Ami to fit absolutely everywhere. This cute little face displays characteristics just as mini as it is, with a range of 75 kilometers and a maximum speed of 45 km/h. Enough to make it an exclusive resident of cities and an automobile used mainly for short trips.

Old in new

For those who do not know the history of the Italian manufacturer, the Topolino is also the name of the very first Fiat 500, created by the company during the 1930s. The latter owed its success at the time to a starting price unprecedented rate of 8,900 lire, the equivalent of 20 monthly salaries for a worker, which was an exceptionally low rate at the time. It was marketed for two decades, from 1936 to 1955.

The new Topolino uses the same ingredients. If Fiat will not communicate on prices until next October, the manufacturer has already announced that the basic version should go on sale for less than 10,000 euros. Apart from a special sale organized this week in France and Italy, it will be necessary to wait until November to be able to acquire this small car without a charming license.
