Fight in Innsbruck – dispute ends with broken jaw and arrest

A dispute between an Afghan (17) and an Austrian (28) ended on Saturday night in Innsbruck for the 28-year-old in the hospital and for his opponent in the police detention center.

Shortly after midnight there was a verbal argument between the Afghan and the Austrian in Innsbruck’s Angerzellgasse. In the course of the dispute, the Afghan hit the local with such a strong fist that the 28-year-old suffered multiple fractures and had to be taken to the clinic.

Opponent fled
The 17-year-old attacker fled from the scene. He was also injured and also drunk. A short time later, the police found the youth near the crime scene and arrested him. He was transferred to the police detention center. Further investigations are ongoing.
