Final Fantasy VII Rebirth announced on PS5 with a release period, a third and final episode already formalized!

If there was one project that everyone was hoping to see at the presentation Final Fantasy VII 25th Anniversary Celebrationit was the sequel to Final Fantasy VII Remakethe Part 2 having as director Naoki Hamaguchi and which has been in development since at least 2019. Moreover, Yoshinori Kitase suggested announcements about him for this year if he could. Well, the game was actually introduced tonight to conclude the presentation, with even a release period!

It will now have to be called Final Fantasy VII Rebirth and its temporary exclusive release on PS5 is already planned for “next winter” (next winter in English) unlike Crisis Core -Final Fantasy VII- Reunion which is expected “this winter”. A priori, we will therefore be able to play it at the end of 2023 or even the beginning of 2024. This first trailer is very promising, mixing known elements and teasing novelties. We are thus entitled to the fall of the meteor, a phase of gameplay in the past of cloud with Sephiroth at Nibelheim and especially to a narration by Aerith which evokes the fact that she is dead (in the old version of the game), as well as following the scene with zack wearing cloud, while the phrase “What is fact and what is fiction?” is likely to stir the brains of the community.

But that’s not all, because Yoshinori Kitase immediately announced that the remake project will ultimately have 3 games, FFVII Remake, FFVII Rebirth and a third whose title remains secret, but we have time.
