Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is set to release in 2024

As expected, Geoff Keighley’s grand finale for his Summer Game Fest is none other than Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. The sequel to FF7 Remake won over this conference with its trailer. No release date, but a window for the beginning of 2024 is becoming clearer. In return, we learn that there will be two CDs to run the game. This portends a big piece that could weigh heavily on the Sony console.

Released in 2020, Final Fantasy VII Remake was the beginning of an epic and magnificent new epic. Its sequel takes the same direction, with a beautiful trailer showing the exterior of Midgard. Captivating plains, mountains and rivers that seem full of life. The exploration of the world can be done in groups, and the fights are directly taken from those of the previous title. The hunt for Sephiroth can resume outside the walls of the dystopian city.

But Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will above all be an opportunity to advance the story of this RPG which has marked the history of video games. Moreover, developing it with so much content that a single CD will not be enough to support everything. A precision that could be reassuring about the size of the content, but which leaves you puzzled as to the space it will take on the hard drive of the PS5. The title is also not planned to be released on PC at launch, suggesting that the port will be 1 to 2 years later, as for FF7 Remake.
