  • Joel Wicki is in full swing: Just like a week ago at the Central Switzerland sub-association festival, the in-form Entlebucher also succeeded on the Rigi.
  • Local Lario Kramer, the guest from south-western Switzerland, bottoms out in a highly intensive final round.

Seven weeks before the Federal Wrestling Festival, Joel Wicki has provided further proof of his enviable form. Within a week, the 25-year-old had another prestigious success in Ennetbürgen.

And Wicki doubles it in two ways: he had already won the Rigi-Schwinget in 2018. This year everything was demanded of him, especially in the final round: Lario Kramer was a tough opponent in a duel between two physically outstanding athletes.

Despite several attacks by his opponent from southwestern Switzerland, Wicki remained vigilant and was able to dupe Kramer after a little warm-up time. The consolation for Kramer himself remains that one day after his 24th birthday on the “Queen of the Mountains” he made a decisive contribution to an exciting, intense finale.
