Finally ! These features will make Google Meet really more convenient

This new Google Meet update should significantly improve your experience with the video conferencing app.

A few weeks after bringing better resolution to your video calls, Google Meet will soon allow you to enjoy more options in Picture-in-Picture (PiP) mode.

Remember, Google recently announced that it was going to improve Chrome’s Picture-in-Picture feature by extending its usefulness. For example, the famous browser’s picture-in-picture mode will soon be able to be used outside of video playback and thus apply to any type of web content. And of course, Google Meet will be one of the first services to take full advantage of this new feature by adding features designed to make your life easier.

If Google Meet has been supporting Picture-in-Picture for some time now, it will soon benefit from more than welcome improvements, to the delight of its customers.

Google Meet: much more comprehensive controls for PiP mode

Our colleagues from 9to5Google We learn that the PiP mode of Google Meet will receive a major update over the next few weeks. This will now allow you to raise your hand (if you want to speak without interrupting your interlocutors), to use the meeting chat, to activate/deactivate subtitles or to resize the image view in the picture. All this should logically offer greater flexibility to Meet users during their meetings, especially when the screen sharing function is activated.

Until now, the picture-in-picture mode interface was presented in landscape format and only allowed to activate/deactivate the camera, to turn off the microphone or to leave the call. This new version of PiP in Meet, whose deployment is expected in the coming weeks, should therefore quickly become an interesting feature to make your experience with Google Meet even a little more pleasant.
