finally this highly requested feature

As promised, Assassin’s Creed Mirage has officially dated the arrival of a feature eagerly awaited by the community. It will make people happy.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage, the famous “back to basics”, is not about to give up the weapon to the left. He still has surprises in store, as he shows through his different patches. However, the game obviously made a rather significant oversight, and it was pointed out by many people. Ubisoft therefore rectified the situation by announcing the arrival of a certain functionality, but there was no precise release date to get your teeth into. But the good news is that this is no longer the case.

Two big new features for Assassin’s Creed Mirage

In truth, the studio had announced two new features for the new opus. Unfortunately, one of them is no longer planned for 2023. In fact, the Permadeath mode, which destroys your save if you die, will finally be there at the beginning of 2024. We have not had any further details from of the firm. That said, it’s still a welcome addition, and we can’t wait to spice up the Assassin’s Creed Mirage experience with it. Those keen on tough challenges will clearly find what they’re looking for.

The other feature, the one that interests us here, is New Game +. Yes, he is indeed absent from the base game, which was not to everyone’s taste. As a reminder, it allows you to restart a game while maintaining your character’s progress (skills, objects, etc.). Very often the difficulty is higher, otherwise it wouldn’t be fun. We knew he was due to arrive in Assassin’s Creed Mirage in December, but when exactly? Ubisoft came to answer this question by announcing that NG + would be implemented next week as part of a free update.

Here is what the studio was able to tell us about these two long-awaited modes: “We heard you: New Game + mode for Assassin’s Creed Mirage will be available in a free update in December. And for expert Assassins, NG+ will be accompanied by an optional Permadeath mode in all difficulties! “. Well, for Permadeath, the company had to review its plans, but it makes your mouth water. Needless to say, this is a great argument in favor of restarting the game.

An expansion for the new opus?

Can we expect an expansion for Assassin’s Creed Mirage? To find out, you have to look at what recently happened on X (formerly Twitter). Rik Godwin announced his arrival in the Ubi Bordeaux team as Lead Writer. He did not fail to show his enthusiasm: “ I’m so excited to announce that I’m now Lead Writer at Ubisoft Bordeaux for the Assassin’s Creed franchise! “. The company seems to be working on a new AC, which is not surprising. On the other hand, it once again confirms that there will be no DLC or post-launch content for Mirage.

That said, this mysterious game is not ready to show up. Currently, Ubisoft Bordeaux must surely continue to closely monitor its latest addition. The question is will he be the lead developer of a new AC, or will he simply assist another branch in the making? For the moment, it’s difficult to know more, but it’s clear that we haven’t heard the last of the franchise. For information, the next opus which should be released is Assassin’s Creed Red, the one which will finally take fans to feudal Japan.
