Our colleagues from the newspaper “Le Parisien” reveal the salaries of regional candidates for the election of Miss France. The 2021 edition represents the first time that participants in the final phase of the competition were paid. But the amount of the salary did not satisfy all the candidates.
How much are Miss France candidates paid? Before the 2022 election, which was held last December, regional candidates were not paid to participate in the national election broadcast in prime time on TF1. Attacked at the Prud’hommes by the association “Osez le féminisme” for violation of labor law, the competition has changed its rules. For the first time, regional candidates were paid. A salary that had remained secret until then.
The candidates for the Miss France contest were paid up to 84 euros per day. Or 252 euros net in all, for a ratio of less than 7 euros per hour, according to information from our colleagues in the newspaper The Parisian

“An exploitation” denounced by certain Misses
This was the first edition where the candidates signed an employment contract. But this contract has shocked some candidates. It did not take into account the month of preparation worked by the candidates, but only the last two days of rehearsal and the day of the ceremony broadcast on TF1. Some regional Misses have denounced “exploitation”.
For her part, the producer of the competition Alexia Laroche Joubert assured that this financial situation was amply sufficient. She also pointed out that this employment contract signed this year is already a big step forward.
