Finistère: a girl dies in the fire of the motorhome in which she slept

It was 3 a.m., on the night of Saturday March 26 to Sunday March 27, when a motorhome caught fire in Plabennec, Finistère. A 6-year-old girl was inside and did not survive.

According to the first elements, the motorhome was parked in the industrial zone of Callac. A judicial inquiry has been opened to determine the exact circumstances of the fire but, according to France Bleu, an auxiliary heater would be involved.

The flames spread to two neighboring vehicles, as well as to an adjacent building before being stopped by firefighters. A man was slightly burned and several people, witnesses of the scene, are shocked.

According to France Bleu, the girl’s father participated in a party organized in an apartment in the artisanal zone of Callac. He would have put his daughter to bed, in the motorhome, during the evening, before joining his friends.
