On Wednesday, two accidents on the southern motorway in the Villach junction caused a large number of emergency services. In an accident, a woman was trapped in her car.
Around 1 p.m., the main fire station in Villach was called to a vehicle fire on the A2. During the approach, the Florian disciples overtook another mission. A woman rolled over in the car and was trapped in the process. A full alarm from the main fire station had to be triggered.

Even before the fire brigade arrived, the 70-year-old driver of the burning car and other road users were able to contain the fire in the engine area. “The vehicle was then completely extinguished under heavy breathing protection,” says Alexander Scharf, press spokesman for the main fire station in Villach.

After the fire was extinguished, the fire departments made their way to the trapped woman. The accident victim was quickly rescued by the Florianjüngern and was then brought to the hospital by the ambulance.
