Fire Emblem: Another Episode is reportedly nearing the end of development for a late 2022/early 2023 release.

During the last Nintendo Direct, fans of Fire Emblem may have experienced an emotional lift seeing a new installment being announced before seeing that it was actually a second episode of the spin-off Fire Emblem Warriors. But we suspect that Intelligent Systems is currently hard at work on a new canonical episode for the series, with the question now being when it will be revealed. An insider who has already proven herself, Emily Rogersprecisely gives more details on this subject, always to be taken with tweezers.

Double ration of Fire Emblem in 2022?

According to Emily Rogersvia a post on Famiboard spotted by VGC, a new Fire Emblem would actually be in preparation, and would also be near the end of its developmentand that the studio was given three years of development with the help of a support studio.

In addition to the information in its possession, she argues that a release at the end of 2022 would be quite possible, with a possible postponement to the first quarter of 2023 if Nintendo’s line-up is quite tight at the end of the year. She then speculates that the 2017 storyline with the release of Fire Emblem Warriors and Fire Emblem Echoes could repeat itself in 2022, with first the release of Three Hopes and that of the new episode at the end of the year.

Nothing is guaranteed here, and we will probably have to wait for the next Nintendo Direct, probably this summer, to find out more.
