Scheduled for January 20, 2023, Fire Emblem Engage presents some mechanics of its gameplay in a new video. Direction the continent Elyos, composed of four kingdoms with in its center, a land considered holy.
Of course, Fire Emblem Engage fully respects the existing bases of confrontations in the franchise. We thus find turn-based combat, with the placement of units on gridded terrain. But the title also brings its share of novelties, in particular with the mechanics of the Emblems. Thus, we discover that the characters holding a ring will be able to use the power of the Emblems. A power that allows you to call on a hero from the past. Players will thus have the pleasure of seeing Marth, Celica, Corrin and even Byleth again.
Characters with an Emblem equipped will have their stats boosted, thus seeing their skills improved. It will also be possible to merge the unit with the Emblem it carries. This will give access to weapons as well as special, and above all more powerful, abilities. Also note that each character can use any Emblem. A possibility that should allow many strategic options during the clashes.
