A dangerous fire broke out on an agricultural property near Friesach on Saturday afternoon. Luckily nobody was home.
For reasons that are still unknown, the fire occurred in a so-called dirt sluice, which is located between the garage and the living area, in the area of the mirror cabinet and an attached hair dryer. The window pane broke, presumably as a result of the heat generated, and as a result there was an explosive combustion. This threw the front door of the house ten meters into the courtyard of the property. When the 47-year-old owner came home at around 5:20 p.m., she noticed the fire and was even able to bring it under control with a powder fire extinguisher. The alerted volunteer fire brigade in Zeltschach took over the further extinguishing measures with two vehicles and 16 comrades. The explosion caused significant property damage. The cause of the fire must now be determined. Luckily no one was around at the time of the explosion.
