A first scene image has been released for the biopic “Michael”. It features Jaafar Jackson as “King of Pop” Michael Jackson.
Next April, “Michael,” the film biography of the “King of Pop” Michael Jackson (1958-2009), is scheduled to be released in theaters. None other than Michael Jackson’s nephew Jaafar Jackson, 27, who has little acting experience, becomes his famous uncle. Now the production company Lionsgate has shown a first scene from “Michael” in which Jaafar Jackson seems to merge with his role.

The first still from “Michael” shows the 27-year-old leading man in an iconic 1990s Michael Jackson look. The white shirt shown over a white V-neck T-shirt and black trousers was worn by Michael Jackson on stage during his legendary “Dangerous World Tour” from 1992 to 1993.

The nephew of the “King of Pop” embodies “Michael in a way that no other actor could.” Filmmaker Antoine Fuqua, 58, who directed “Michael,” also agrees. According to him, Jaafar Jackson’s game would go “beyond physical resemblance.” “It’s Michael’s spirit magically emerging,” said the “Training Day” director.

“Aviator” and “Gladiator” author John Logan, 62, is responsible for the script. Actor Colman Domingo, 54, who was recently nominated for an Oscar for “Rustin”, portrays Jackson’s father Joe Jackson (1928-2018). Miles Teller, 36, and Nia Long, 53, also play other roles.
