Fitbit has just unveiled its new connected watches for the start of the school year. There are no less than three models that come to expand the catalog of the American brand: the Inspire 3 bracelet as well as the smart watches Versa 4 and Sense 2.

Contrary to some rumors, there will be no switch to Wear OS. Despite everything, we will be able to adorn our wrists with pretty connected watches dedicated to health monitoring!

Inspire 3: the affordable activity tracker

First model presented at the Fitbit conference, the Inspire 3 is a connected bracelet that aims to be affordable. Marketed for 99.95 euros, it has a rounded design that is reminiscent of that of the Fitbit Luxe.

The small activity tracker swaps the monochrome OLED screen of the previous generation for a color touch screen. Viewing comfort should therefore be increased. This is not the only change to report: the cardiac sensor can now detect the level of SpO2. The Inspire 3 is also able to provide skin temperature.

Health tracking remains at the heart of how Fitbit works. In addition to tracking steps, calories burned and heart rate, the Inspire 3 also offers breathing exercises. Fitbit Premium members can also get their sleep score, fitness score, and new sleep profiles.

As a reminder, the Premium subscription costs 8.99 euros per month. It provides access to hundreds of video exercises and a wider range of analyzed data. A six-month trial is offered for the purchase of an Inspire 3. Finally, the autonomy remains unchanged compared to the Inspire 2, ie approximately 10 days.

Pre-orders are open today on the official Fitbit website, with delivery scheduled for September.

Versa 4 and Sense 2: reworked design and interface for Fitbit watches

The news smart watches of the American brand are relatively similar. Both benefit from a reworked design, more rounded than previous generations. The touch button, impractical on the Versa 3, disappears in favor of a good old physical button.

The two tocantes are compatible with Android and iOS, and their interface has been thoroughly reworked. If it’s not Wear OS that drives everything, Google Maps and Google Wallet will be usable on these two connected watches in the future. This is good news for contactless payments, the current Fitbit Pay not being very widespread with French banks.

The Versa 4 sees the number of supported sports profiles increase from 20 to 40. Among them: HIIT, CrossFit, weightlifting and dance. The Fitbit Premium program offers the usual benefits with over 1,000 workout videos and access to some additional data like the Fitness Score, an equivalent of Training Load.

For its part, the Sense 2 recovers all the functions of its little sister and adds 24/7 stress monitoring. For this, it uses a new sensor called “Body Response”. If the first Fitbit Sense required manual readings, it is no longer necessary on the Sense 2 which takes measurements constantly. In the event of an increase in stress, the smart watch automatically suggest breathing and mindfulness exercises to do on your wrist or through the Fitbit app. Of course, the ECG sensor is making a comeback in order to detect possible atrial fibrillation problems.

The Versa 4 and Sense 2 offer around six days of battery life, with Quick Charge recouping a day’s worth of use in just 12 minutes. Six months of Fitbit Premium are free with the purchase of any of the smart watcheswhether you are a new member or a regular user of the American brand’s products.

Pre-orders are open today. Count 229.95 euros for the Versa 4 and 299.95 euros for the Sense 2. Deliveries will be launched this fall.
