The market launch of the Fitbit Ionic was some time ago. The smart fitness watch went on sale in 2017 and has not been available in stores since 2020. Fitbit offers refunds

In a statement obtained by the editors, “Fitbit has received a very limited number of reports of injuries where the battery in Fitbit Ionic smartwatches is overheating and posing a risk of burns.” The safety of customers is Fitbit’s top priority, and the company is taking the measures out of sheer caution.
