In addition to the snow chaos on Thursday, the fire brigades Walbersdorf and Mattersburg were also on duty in the night on Friday with a shed fire. When it arrived, a large part of the building was already in full fire.
The reason for the rapid spread of the fire was wood that was stored in the shed in Walbersdorf. It is still unclear why it started to burn. The two fire departments had to act quickly to avoid spreading to neighboring houses, so the emergency services launched several external attacks and extinguished the fire from three points of attack so that the fire could be brought under control quickly.
