Fled without booty – thieves disturbed during robbery in single-family house

On Friday morning, burglars may have been disturbed during their robbery in a family home in St. Radegund near Graz. They left behind the prepared stolen goods. An immediately initiated search was negative.

Already in the early hours of the morning, two previously unknown perpetrators are likely to have gained access to a single-family home through a locked basement window. They twisted the outside camera, ransacked the house and tried to remove a heavy safe. They pulled the homeowner’s car out of the garage and tried to load the safe into the car. Shortly before the crime was completed, they were probably disturbed by the neighbors coming home. They left the house in a hurry through the basement window without taking any booty. An immediately initiated search with a police helicopter, drones and several police patrols was negative. Further investigations are ongoing.
