A catastrophic storm surge in the North Sea brings disaster to the small village of Stegebüll. Only Wienke, the young daughter of the dike chief Hauke ​​Haien (Detlev Buck) survives the misfortune and grows up under a different name in an assisted living facility. At the age of 18 (Philine Schmölzer) she begins to research her origins and finds Iven (Anton Spieker), her father’s former protégé, who lives in the Hamburg underworld. Without the knowledge of the diplomat Karla Lorenz (Natalia Wörner), a childhood friend of Petrov’s, he is received by a Russian secret service commando. Kolja is able to hide an important data stick and bring his daughter to safety before he is caught by the kidnappers. The police found the girl shortly afterwards in a rental car, but there was no trace of Petrow.
