  • Turkish startup SealVans announces the completion of development of two floating caravans.
  • The models are 4.20 or 7.50 meters long and are intended for the European market.
  • The amphibious vehicles should offer great comfort both on land and on the water and have their own drive.

Anyone who thinks that the camping boom is gradually taking over and even secret dream pitches are overcrowded could find salvation on the water. Better yet, why not use one and the same vehicle on water and on land?

While amphibious cars never made the leap from the niche, there are already a handful of floating caravans. The SealVans models are now being added and judging by the pictures and specs they look promising.

Quick conversion from caravan to boat

Only minor preliminary work should be necessary to bring the special caravan into the water. A 50 hp Honda motor then ensures that the floating caravan reaches a speed of up to 13 knots (24 km/h). So you can comfortably explore the local lake.

The models differ mainly in their size and interior design. The larger model with an external length of 7.50 meters accommodates up to three adults or two adults and two children.

Other features include a kitchenette and a small bathroom with shower facilities. The more compact variant with a weight of 750 kilograms and an external length of 4.20 meters is designed for two people.
